This lecture discusses the value of the different diagnostic imaging tests available to determining treatment options and prognosis in dogs and cats with spinal disease, as well as the value of these tests to clients relative to the cost. The goal of this session is to help in the consideration of value judgments in strategically planning diagnostic imaging for patients presenting with clinical signs related to their spine.
