Head-Shaking Induced Nystagmus in a Dog

This 4-year-old Miniature Poodle had an enucleation 4 weeks prior. Since then, the owner noticed that the dog had short duration (10 to 20 sec) nystagmus and head oscillation after shaking his head in a rotatory movement (in a similar way as would be seen when a dog shakes his head when wet). The episodes did not happen when the dog shook his head with a toy in his mouth. Neurological examination was unremarkable. The episode could be elicited as shown on the video.
